Dr. Pinkston was raised in Cibolo, Texas. She is a first generation college graduate and attended Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas where she graduated in December 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Minor in Spanish. Her studies then brought her to San Antonio where she conducted research with the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at the University of Texas Health Science Center. She subsequently attended medical school at The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and received her medical doctor diploma in 2014. She then enrolled in and successfully completed all requirements for resident training at the Christus Santa Rosa Family Medicine Residency here in San Antonio. Dr. Pinkston is a two time recipient of the annual William Osler Award presented by her residency training program - an award that honors excellence in bedside manner and promotion of a strong physician-patient relationship. She recently received her Diplomate status and is Board Certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Pinkston enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, painting/crafting and reading.
