Jesus Rodriguez, MD, is a board-certified physician on the team of providers at Family Medical Home with two locations in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Rodriguez was born and raised in Laredo, Texas. He went to college at the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg, Texas, and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in chemistry. Before attending medical school, Dr. Rodriguez relocated to San Antonio, Texas, to research breast and prostate cancer at the University of Texas Health Science Center. While there, he co-authored two articles for journals in his field.
Dr. Rodriguez stayed at the University of Texas Health Science Center for his medical degree, which he earned in 2005. After graduating, he completed a residency in family medicine at Christus Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio. He’s currently a diplomate and board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. Dr. Rodriguez is a member in good standing with the Texas Medical Association and the Bexar County Medical Society.
Outside of his work at Family Medical Home, Dr. Rodriguez stays active in the community by lending his expertise to wellness and exercise programs for the elderly and health camps for teens. When he’s not practicing medicine, he likes to read, enjoy the outdoors, and spend time with his family and friends.
