Dr. Pinkston grew up in Cibolo, Texas, and was the first person in her family to attend college — graduating from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, in 2007 with a Bachelor of Science in biology and a minor in Spanish. After college, she relocated to San Antonio to pursue research at the University of Texas Health Science Center’s Department of Microbiology and Immunology.
Dr. Pinkston earned her medical degree in 2014 from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston in Galveston, Texas. She continued her medical training with a family medicine residency at Christus Santa Rosa Health System in San Antonio. While there, she was twice honored with the William Osler Award, which recognizes excellence in bedside manner and the promotion of a strong physician-patient relationship.
Dr. Pinkston is a diplomate and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. When she’s not working with patients, she likes to paint, craft, read, spend time with her family, and participate in outdoor activities.
